Propose, plan, develop and implement operational and administrative practices, procedures and systems pertaining to financial matters. Monitor system operations, project trends, and propose methods for improving operations. Ensure the financial integrity of the system, including the control and security of cash and funds assigned and generated. Authorize University documents for purchases and payments. Oversee the fiscal budget in all areas such as billing, income, insurance premium purchases, collections, payroll, authorization of payment, and compliance with University rules, policies and procedures. Supervise all staff of the business office and patient services, conduct regular staff meetings and staff reviews, establish departmental priorities, goals and objectives, develop corresponding policies and procedures, and oversee all patient services and activities related to UHS. Oversee the development and implementation of standards for billing processes in accordance with current standards in all areas including data collection, billing procedures and accounts receivable. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in Healthcare finance, insurance, and billing experience required.
