Description

Penn State Great Valley’s Graduate and Professional Programming Office is looking to hire a student Communications Intern for the fall 2017 and spring 2018 semester. The successful candidate must be an upper-level undergraduate students from Penn State Brandywine pursuing a degree in Communications (COMCC), Business (BSBCC) or English (ENGCC). Students who have completed their sophomore year or above standing at Penn State Brandywine would be eligible to apply. Must have excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. The applicant should have a proficient understanding of AP style writing, adding content to websites, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). Tasks will include creating website, print, press release and social media content related to the marketing and recruitment efforts of the Penn State Great Valley Campus. The student should be specifically interested in social media, advertising, public relations, marketing and communications. The paid internship will be for 15-20 hours per week located at the Malvern, PA campus. The internship can be for-credit or not-for-credit, depending on the needs of the student and the requirements of the student’s academic program. Interested applicants should include a cover letter, updated résumé, two writing samples and contact information for two-three references in addition to completing the online web application.
