Description

The Department of Mathematics is seeking postdocs. New or recent Ph.D.s with an exceptional research potential and in some positions with teaching required as a commitment to excellence in teaching. These are non-tenure track appointments and are typically for one year (48 weeks). A Ph.D. in mathematics is required. Candidates from all areas of mathematics will be considered. Applicants must complete the Penn State application and must submit an application through Mathjobs.org (https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs) with the following materials in order for the application to be complete: (1) Cover letter; (2) Curriculum Vitae; (3) at least three reference letters (one letter must address in detail the candidate’s abilities as a teacher); (4) Publication List; (5) Research Statement; and (6) Teaching Statement.
