Description

Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to join a dynamic team. This position will report to the Coordinator of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs. This is a 10 month position (August-May). Primary Responsibilities Include: Advise and oversee events and the yearly budget for the Student Programming Board, LEAP (Lares Entertainment and Programming Board). This organization hosts 10-15 events per semester ranging from morning to late-night activities for the student body. Recruit current and new students to join LEAP and assume leadership roles on the Executive Board. Assist SEAL with office-led events and co-sponsored programs including, but not limited to, New Student Day, Arrival (Move-In Days), Lecture Series events, Recognition Banquet, and other Student Affairs collaborative events. Work with the office`s marketing and programming associates, undergraduate students to ensure the execution and promotion of events, including: Ensuring the creation and distribution of the bathroom stall news document, the "Toilet Paper"; assisting the marketing intern with improving and maintaining the office`s social media profiles which currently include Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; work with the programming intern to plan and implement events and activities, including Casino Night, Quizzos, and the weeklong Spring Fest initiatives. Requirements Include: Bachelor`s degree in Communication Studies, Marketing/Public Relations, or other related programs. At least 2 year`s event planning experience, preferably in Student Activities and/or Higher Education. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Able to work nights/weekends as programming schedule dictates. Must be a team player and comfortable working in a diverse and inclusive environment. http://abington.psu.edu/
