Are you familiar with Laravel and Vue.js? Then the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute (JASI) has an excellent opportunity for you as a Web Developer. JASI offers training programs for professionals working in law enforcement and child support enforcement. Our mission is to provide timely and structured learning experiences, operational training, and career development programs to serve our client's needs. As a Web Developer, you will be part of an application development team charged with creating custom web-based applications such as simulations, a learning management system, and websites to support our various training programs. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidates will have experience working with web-based applications with strong skills in HTML, PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, and a solid understanding of web standards, accessibility, and usability. Additional desirable skills include familiarity with the Laravel PHP framework, Vue.js, and Git for source control. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
