Description

Through initiative and collaboration, the Employer Engagement and Career Specialist (Eastern Region) will identify and meet the employer development and engagement needs of Penn State eastern region campuses by working extensively with local, regional, national, and multinational employers as well as career services staff, faculty, and key campus administrators at all Commonwealth Campuses situated in the eastern half of Pennsylvania. This position will coordinate and facilitate employer engagement initiatives and enhance in-person and virtual opportunities for employing organizations to connect with student and alumni talent at Penn State, as well as engage directly in establishing new job/internship opportunities and relationships with new employers seeking to recruit Penn State students and alumni. The Employer Engagement and Career Specialist (Eastern Region) will also serve a broader career development leadership role in assisting with hiring processes as well as coordinating training and professional development for Career Services staff within his or her respective geographic region. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position will have a home base office on the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus and will require travel among all eastern region Commonwealth Campuses. The Employer Engagement and Career Specialist (Eastern Region) reports directly to the Associate Director of Career Services for the Commonwealth and World Campuses at Penn State University Park. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
