Responsible for managing and assisting human studies conducted by the Center for NMR Research. Responsibilities include: recruiting and screening human subjects, performing standardized neurocognitive and behavioral evaluations, MRI and fMRI data acquisitions, data analysis using image analysis software tools and maintaining databases. She\he will work with a principal investigator in preparing, analyzing and recording of laboratory experiments using standardized procedures. The Research Technologist will also be responsible for: Inventory, ordering necessary laboratory supplies and equipment. Operating standard laboratory equipment such as fMRI stimulation devices, biometric (blood pressure, heart beat and oxygen saturation) devices, MRI console, analytical balance, microscope, etc. Responsible for the preparation of various reagents, buffers, and media for experiments as required. Gather, summarize and record data obtained from research projects. Assist in the instruction of medical and graduate students and other technicians. Assist in searchers of literature to gather information pertaining to new experimental procedures and techniques to solve research problems. Assist in planning of experiments and development of research protocol. Skills in interpersonal communication and writing are most desirable. Experience/Education Guidelines: 1+ years related experience. Ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, psychology, neuroscience or related fields with basic knowledge in human neuroanatomy. Also basic skills in a scripting language like MATLAB, Python or any other programming tool for data analysis and/or for experimental design is a plus or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hourly rate: $13.00 - $14.00
