Housing, Foods and Ancillary Services Manager (Director, Housing and Food Services)
Responsible for managing the Housing and Food Service operation to include: supervise food preparation and service, purchase food and non-food related supplies, and operate within budget and food costs allotments. Supervise the operation of the residence halls and assignment of student rooms/housing spaces; inspect for cleanliness and room condition. Supervise repairs and schedule preventive maintenance of buildings and equipment. Maintain and oversee the inventory control of equipment, furnishings and supplies; supervise record procedures and reports. Maintain standards of production, sanitation and safe working conditions; implement and maintain programs to ensure security and safety. Develop and review budgets and recommend corrections and/or changes, control cash flow procedures, and maintain and submit reports of operation. May arrange for special functions and catered events, determine menus and pricing. May conduct and/or attend various meetings. Hire, supervise, and train assigned staff. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a hospitality, business or a nutrition related discipline or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
