The Employer Developer is responsible for increasing and diversifying the employer base for Penn State University. This position will work closely with Alumni Career Services and Alumni Relations colleagues in each of the academic colleges to target alumni working in underrepresented industries and solicit their involvement in building a recruiting relationship between their respective employer and Penn State. The Employer Developer will create, update, and implement a strategic employer development plan under the consultation of the Career Services Directors Consortium. Specifically, this position will explore new recruitment relationships via targeted emails, phone meetings, face-to-face meetings on campus, and company visits. The Employer Developer will track and report on all employer development activity through maintaining a robust, employer-relations tracking system. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We are seeking candidates with effective knowledge of the labor market with specific emphasis on under-represented industries within college recruiting; able to work effectively within a team, as well as independently; strong communications skills across a wide range of career offices; demonstrates initiative and innovation in solving problems and developing strategies. This is a fixed-term appointment funded until June 30, 2018 with an excellent chance of re-funding.
