Penn State Mont Alto invites applications for several fixed-term (FT-2) instructor positions, part-time, to teach pre-algebra, algebra, calculus, differential equations, and/or linear algebra. An earned M.S. in Mathematics or a closely related field is required; Ph.D. in an appropriate field or extensive, relevant experience strongly desired to teach calculus and differential equations. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is a necessity. Interest in active and collaborative learning and the instructional use of technology is an advantage. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important. The expectation is that the successful applicant will use traditional method, and teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed.
