Penn State Mont Alto invites applications for a fixed-term (FT-2) instructor position, part-time, to teach introductory sociology for Penn State Mont Alto in the Carlisle area. Successful applicants should have at a minimum an earned masters degree in an appropriate field and relevant experience in the classroom; Ph.D. is a plus. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment and the ability to connect with and inspire non-traditional, dual-enrolled high school students is a necessity. Promote active and collaborative learning; the instructional use of technology for hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important. The expectation is that the successful applicant will use traditional and hybrid delivery methods as needed.
