Duties are to help plan, execute and analyze data in neuroscientific studies. Knowledge and hands-on training in translational neurosciences for example in behavioral testing of animal models of Parkinson`s disease, stereotactic surgery, microdialysis, histology, immunohistochemistry, experimental therapeutics, electrophysiology and optogenetics that require round the clock experimental procedures in compliance with all applicable regulations is highly desirable. The position will serve as a research assistant in submitting regulatory documents under supervision of PI and to maintain compliance with regulations besides maintaining facilities, equipment and environment at highest level of safety. Clinical translation of research applying neuroscientific knowledge under highest level of human subject protection will be part of the duties of this position. Such responsibilities will include consenting subjects, scheduling clinical study appointments, rescheduling appointments, preparing documents for regulatory approval, paperwork for institutional review, data entry using secure HIPPA complaint portal, assisting the PI in procedures under direct supervision and after sufficient training has been documented, review of data, preparing for monitor visits, submission of periodic reports to sponsor and to institutional bodies, assisting the PI in ensuring compliance with all regulations. The position also serves as administrative support to lead clinician scientist and other assigned faculties involved in research studies. Typically requires a Bachelor`s degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
