Penn State Harrisburg’s Office of Counseling and Disability Services is accepting applications for a part-time Test Coordinator. The expected work schedule is 20 hours per week, 30-weeks per year (15 weeks Fall and Spring semesters). The Test Coordinator manages provision of test accommodations to approximately 150 students. Responsibilities include communicating with students and faculty members, ensuring proper administration of all exams, protecting the integrity of the exams, proctoring exams, maintaining assistive technology that students use to take exams, ensuring that students and faculty members follow procedures and training/supervising other proctors. Essential skills include the ability to operate a personal computer and associated software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), ability to learn and implement detailed procedures, to interact effectively with diverse populations, to organize and maintain records, and to recommend and implement new procedures as the demands for proctored tests grows. The Test Coordinator supervises part-time and student proctors. Physical demands of the position include sitting for extended periods. The minimum qualifications include an associate degree or two years of college, good computer skills, and the ability to work independently.
