Description

The Information Analytics & Sensemaking Department of the Applied Research Laboratory is looking for talented, experienced and highly motivated undergraduate software engineering students to assist in the development, test, and transition of Java based software systems. Candidate will work within an agile development environment with other developers to develop and deliver quality software solutions. As part of the team, the candidate will be responsible for the development of Java based web services including aspects of server, client, and web components. Students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information, Science and Technology, and will work up to 20 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters and up to 40 hours per week during the Summer semester. Candidate should have experience in technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (noSQL) data bases. Candidates should have a solid understanding of data structures and object-oriented design (OOD) concepts. Successful candidates must have the ability to work and thrive within a team environment with strong communication and organizational skills. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
