The Worthington Scranton IT Department is looking for students to fill the position of Student Lab Attendant. Lab Attendants will staff the IT Help Desk, providing front line support during weekdays, evenings and week-end shifts, during which time they will provide support for both computer lab users as well as in person/telephone support for the greater campus community (students,faculty and staff). Lab Attendants will monitor the computer labs and equipment, provide reports to the IT department, answer phones/take messages, log trouble tickets, and provide assistance to users as needed. The Lab Attendant will also play an active role in supporting classroom technology and campus events. Must be able to communicate effectively, follow directions,have attention to detail, and be a team player. Excellent customer service skills, reliability and flexibility are required. Computer/technology experience is helpful, but not required. Lab Attendants will work less than 20 hours per week and will be required to work evening and week-end shifts. Lab Attendants will work along side IT professionals and will have the opportunity to develop their skill sets with a wide range of technology including PC/Mac, mobile devices,and audio/visual equipment. Students will gain both valuable resume and workplace experience to help prepare them for their post-college careers. Must be a current student at Penn State Worthington Scranton.
