This position works with the Director of Student Affairs in World Campus to design and implement programs and services for students studying online and requires a minimum of 20 hours a week, which includes some evening and weekend hours. Responsibilities include: managing the development, implementation and administration of WC student engagement events each semester; assisting student organizations with their recruitment, programming efforts and review of funding requests; assisting with World Campus Student Affairs programs including, but not limited to on-site current student events, All University Day, and service days. This position will also support the World Campus Student Advisory board by managing staff requests for service and attending meetings as needed. The graduate assistant will also provide assistance for a number of Student Affairs tasks including but not limited to preparing student communications, participating in assessment activities, serving as a representative for Student Affairs to campus partners, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to build rapport and relationships with students, interns, and staff that seek to collaborate with World Campus Student Affairs; hold regularly scheduled office hours and attend staff meetings, monthly unit meetings. Must be enrolled full time in a graduate program, preferably in Adult Education, College Student Affairs, Higher Education or Counselor Education. Experience working with online learners and/or adult student population, strong communication and organizational skills preferred.
