The Penn State School of International Affairs invites applications for teaching assistant positions for the INTAF 597B course “Introduction to Research Design.” The course is a Fall semester class. Tasks will comprise assisting Professor Scott Gartner with administering the course, assisting with taking attendance, collecting homework assignments, holding regular office hours, and helping to manage classroom time and in-class presentations. The teaching assistants also will provide instruction on basic mathematical operations and on how to use Excel. Prior to the course, some planning work will be needed, but the preparation work can be done off-campus, with regular communication over the summer with Professor Gartner via email. At least 2 or 3 students are needed to fill these positions. Applicants should upload a resume and cover letter. Applications will be received and reviewed upon submission, and selections likely will be made prior to July 1, 2017.
