Description

The following are the duties and expectations for the Fitness Center Attendants: Possess a basic working knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and their application to exercise. Greet and check-in student, faculty, staff and students to Athletic Center. Assist participants with the operation of the equipment, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment. Demonstrate proper weight lifting techniques. Assist members and offer assistance and/or instruction with their workout. Be knowledgeable about the programs in fitness and wellness. Attend all mandatory meetings. Understand and enforce fitness floor policies. Be available to work one (1) of the four (4) breaks (i.e. Thanksgiving, winter, etc.) Be available to work at least two shifts a week. Create a compatible schedule with coworkers. Implement preventative maintenance schedule. Conduct hourly participation counts by updating stat binder and hourly building safety checks. Inventory, maintain, and sanitize the Fitness Closet and supplies. Work with campus intramurals, group fitness, special events, and athletic events. Other duties as assigned. Maintain current CPR, First Aid Training and AED.
