A strong background in parasitology is desirable, but not necessary. The candidate will be expected to lead their own individual projects as well as contributing to collaborative research efforts. Exceptional opportunities are available for highly motivated candidates who have recently received their Ph.D. and have a strong publication record, regardless of their specific area of expertise. Penn State requires all applicants to register and complete an application form online. To apply please submit the application, CV, and cover letter online and also to email@example.com. Also please send to firstname.lastname@example.org a list of educational, publications and work experience (PH.D. thesis and beyond) and names and contact information for three references, and a brief statement (1-2 pages) of research interests and goals. Dr. Llinas is an associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a member of the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences where he participates in the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamic and the Center for Systems Genomics and is part of the Bioinformatics and Immunology and Infectious Disease graduate programs. This position requires a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree or higher in a scientific discipline. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
