Description

This wage position provides support for science education students and staff as part of the science education lab facilities. Duties to include interfacing with students and staff in person and via e-mail; preparing materials and equipment for use in classes on campus and off campus, which may include preparing chemicals; cleaning and organizing science education classrooms and lab space; maintaining a cockroach colony for instructional use; and working with student staff in the Center for Science and the Schools Curriculum Center to check out books and materials. Candidate should have basic computer skills, ability to work with spreadsheets, and should possess good organizational skills. Preference will be given to students who have some science content background. No work during semester breaks, holidays, or other days when there are no classes on campus.
