Description

The Materials and Manufacturing Office of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking highly motivated PhD or MS graduate students. The successful candidates will sinter high temperature materials including Nickel and Tungsten based material and evaluate sintered products by various techniques including optical, scanning microscopes, hardness and strength. Students will analyze this data and generate reports, as well as present on the reach conducted. Students must have a BS in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and will work up to 20 hours per week. Graduate Assistants must be enrolled at Penn State as Graduate Students working towards advanced degrees. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
