Description

The Pennsylvania State University Survey Research Center is looking for reliable people to conduct in-person research interviews with youth in Harrisburg, PA. Responsibilities include - verbally reading survey questions to a child and recording his/her answers (via electronic web-based survey). Survey questions include some sensitive information, so assessor must be comfortable working with children, collecting 6 saliva samples from child throughout the interview via passive drool into a tube, collect skin conductance measures from child via pressing a button on an ankle band, and leading the child to and from a different room where they complete a stress task (run by other experimenters). All session are held at 4:00 p.m. in the Harrisburg area. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends, have reliable transportation, a working phone number, and be technically savvy with access to the Internet. Must consent to criminal background checks and be available to attend in-person, paid training sessions. Research experience or experience as an interviewer/assessor desired. This position includes a competitive wage. This is a part-time position with work hours averaging 40 to 50 hours per month however, we cannot guarantee this number of hours consistently.
