Faculty Announcement: Faculty Positions in Microbiome Research at the Penn State College of Medicine. The Departments of Microbiology and Immunology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Dermatology, and the Cancer Institute of Penn State College of Medicine invite applications from outstanding Ph.D and/or M.D. scientists for five Assistant/Associate/Full Professor tenured/tenure-track positions with research interests in the microbiome, including microbiome interactions with host defense, cancer immunology and therapeutics, and microbiome-disease perturbations. Bioinformatics support is available through the Penn State Institute for Personalized Medicine and the newly inaugurated high performance computing data center. This recruitment effort is part of a university-wide Microbiome Initiative to expand microbiome research at Penn State University. Successful candidates are expected to maintain extramurally funded research programs and participate in graduate and medical student education.
