Description

The Division of Science and Engineering, Penn State Abington seeks to fill one fulltime faculty position in Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at the rank of either Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Lecturer (non tenure track). The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in project management, databases (SQL Server, SQL Lite, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), and web development; mentor undergraduate research; and be actively involved in campus service. Candidates with IST industry experience and/or demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level will be given preference. The review process will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The desired start date is August 2017. Applicants should submit: 1) a cover letter; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) a list of courses taught at the university level; 4) a statement of teaching philosophy; and 5) a description of research interests including potential undergraduate research projects.
