The Department of Electrical Engineering in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at all levels. Preferred candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with appropriate experience. The successful candidates will be expected to establish and sustain an outstanding research program and must have outstanding ability to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Exceptional candidates from a broad range of areas in electrical and computer engineering will be considered, including electronic and photonic devices and energy systems. Areas of particular interest include solid state nanoelectronics and nanophotonics for future generation computing, communication and storage applications, sensors, wearable technology, and power electronics hardware and wide-bandgap devices for smart grid, electrical vehicles, and data centers.
