Outreach Information Technology is seeking a high energy manager with a proven track record of delivering a positive customer experience. Reporting to the Director of Computing Services, the manager will be a key member of the OIT team and is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of OIT's infrastructure and services. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications, and database systems. This position will manage a highly diverse specialized staff that is responsible for providing infrastructure architecture, design and implementation in support of business initiatives. The Technical Services Manager will also be responsible for maintaining OIT's current and new supplier relationships and maturing those relationships to benefit delivery, performance and partnership. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires team leadership, cross-team collaboration, business/technical acumen and strong relationship management skills within IT, Suppliers, and the Business. The successful candidate will be required to build strong relationships with different departments and teams across Outreach and Online Education. The successful candidate should have high energy, strong managerial skills and experience with Project Management and ITIL Foundations is a plus. Candidates should also have strong documentation skills and familiarity with change control processes and be able to work effectively with business organizations, understanding their needs and showing tact and judgment in developing specialized solutions and analyzing/diagnosing specialized challenges. This appointment requires some after-hours work for emergency support. We seek candidates who are able to demonstrate experience and the ability to advance Outreach’s diversity initiative.
