Penn State Abington`s Department of Athletics seeks qualified candidates for the part-time position of Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Responsibilities include assisting with the organization, administration, and supervision of several aspects of the program including, but not limited to: all aspects of the recruiting process; helps mentor student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional and social growth; assists in gathering,preparing and presenting scouting materials; assists with film exchange;assists in practice planning and skill development; assists with team travel; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment; assists in organization of sport camps; coordinates visiting team requests; coordinates with athletic department personnel and other University units; compiles and maintains statistical information; supervises student managers and other ancillary personnel; professional development; participates in team community service; represents Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events when required; performs requested responsibilities with booster club; assists with fund raising; available for media requests; and performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach; adheres to all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations while promoting the core values and strategic goals of intercollegiate athletics. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title. A minimum of 1 year of collegiate coaching experience or playing experience is required. The review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Additional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Must demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
