Description

The Peace Corps Recruitment Officer will establish a Peace Corps Recruitment Office Penn State University. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director at Career Services under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Regional Recruitment Office of Peace Corps to recruit prospective Peace Corps volunteers, the Recruitment Officer will identify highly skilled candidates and specialized skill candidates to serve as Peace Corps volunteers and support them through the application process. For consideration, applicants must have successfully completed a two-year assignment in the Peace Corps. Qualifications include: demonstrated organizational skills with careful attention to detail, adherence to time lines and ability to follow through; demonstrated ability working as a member of a team; experience in program development, event planning, recruiting, and/or promotional marketing and using social media in marketing/promotions’ and presentation experience with a college/university audience. This is a part time position, 20 hours per week, August 2016 through May 2017 with a possible extension to the 2017-2018 academic year.
